One of my favorite places to visit in the fall is Washington, D.C. The city is host to our nation’s capital, but also is a great place for photography and in this case, night photography. I was in the city for the evening meeting with clients when the opportunity struck me to stop and gather this composition on the way out of town. Standing at approximately 555 feet tall, being one of the tallest all stone monuments in the world, this marker commemorating the first President of the free world, General George Washington, is not only massive but beautiful under the D.C. night sky. The reflecting pool just shy of the Lincoln Memorial provides a beautiful mirror image of the obelisk and helps frame the glowing structure off in the distance.
Thanks for taking time to stop and appreciate my art, please share with your friends and family! I am going to try to post content weekly to this blog so if there’s anything you want to see a cool shot of, please feel free to email me at tony@tonygreenephotography.com and I will try my best to get to it. Thanks again.
